About New Smartphone Scheme Launched in Utter Pradesh
Akhilesh Yadav Chief Minister of Utter Pradesh has announced free distribution of smartphones from latter half of the year,
Or we can say that Uttar Pradesh Government has come up with another scheme to attract more voters as a preparation of 2017 elections. This time, free smartphone scheme has been announced by the UP chief minister under which the government would provide free smartphone if it comes back to power in 2017.
Note :Tthe condition of the scheme is that People will only get smartphones if Akhilesh sarkar comes back after winning the upcoming 2017 elections
This Scheme will be applicable only if SP (Samazwadi Party) wins UP (Utter Pradesh) Polls in 2017.
Who will be Applicable for Free smartphone Scheme –
Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav has basically announced the smartphone scheme for the poor and low income residence at the inauguration of Ala Hazrat Haj House in Ghaziabad.
Eligiblity Critera For Free Smart Phones Scheme –
As other details of this scheme has not been launched yet. But here is a list of basic criteria approved by government for getting benifits of free smartphones schemes in Utter Pradesh
- The age of applicants should be at least 18 years as on 1st January 2017.
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- Family income of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 2.00 Lakh per annum.
- The applicant should not be in a Government Job.
- A high school certificate is required.
Important Note The smartphones will be delivered on the first come first serve basis.
Features of Smartphone Scheme
The smartphones to be distributed under the free smartphone scheme would be equipped with

- useful apps for rural population, students, youth and small time businessman.
Note : The Uttar Pradesh Government has already run such a scheme for laptop distribution in the state. The government has so far distributed about 18 Lakh laptops under the scheme.
Application Form of Free Smartphone Scheme

The application form for free smartphone scheme would be filled online, no forms will be available for offline modes.
