Fame India Scheme: The Central Government has come up with a new scheme to promote Electricity Driven Vehicles in cities where more than 10 lakh people living.

To take advantage of the government’s Fame India plan, Electricity Driven tricycles and four wheeler owners will have to show a valid permit taken from the government agency for public transport vehicle from April 1. The Fame India Scheme is about Rs 10,000 crore. Such vehicle owners have to show a permit obtained from the government agency in which it has been stated that the vehicle will be used only for public transport. The second phase of the FEM India Scheme is being implemented for a period of three years from April 1, 2019.

In order to implement this scheme, the central government has asked for proposals from the government departments and the municipal corporation to grant subsidy on electricity-driven vehicles.

The main objective of Fame India Scheme is to promote the use and manufacture of electronic vehicles in India which will control the day-to-day rising level of pollution in the cities.

The government wants to promote the purchase of e-vehicles by granting the cities. The government is also want to increase the number of e-vehicles in public transport which will also help to reduce the pollution.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has sent a letter to the know the desire of departments, undertakings and city bodies from the State Governments.

The main of sending these letters to ask to take the advantage of the incentives for the purchase of electric bus, four-wheeler, passenger car and electric tripled vehicles.
