Electoral Bond Scheme 2018 2018 चुनावी बॉण्ड योजना 2018 – The Government of India has notified the Electoral Bond Scheme 2018 (चुनावी बॉण्ड योजना 2018) by the Gazette Notification No. 20 dated January 02, 2018. The central government has informed about the eligibility criteria of the person who can purchase Electoral Bonds. Here we have provided the completed details of the scheme and the eligibility criteria of the person.
Eligibility Criteria for Electoral Bond Scheme 2018 चुनावी बॉण्ड योजना-2018
According to the provisions of the scheme, the purchase of electoral bond can be done by such person who fulfills the below mentioned eligibility criteria –
- A citizen of India or incorporated or established in India.
- As a special person, one person can purchase electoral bonds individually or jointly with other persons.
- Only those political parties, who are registered under Article 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951)
- The political party who had got at least one percent of the votes cast in general Lok Sabha elections or state assembly elections.
How to Reedem the Electoral Bonds Under Electoral Bond Scheme 2018 चुनावी बॉण्ड योजना 2018
Under this scheme, any eligible political parties can reedem the electoral bonds only thorugh the bank account of any authorized bank.

State Bank of India has authorized the issuance and redemption of election bonds from July 02, 2018 to July 11, 2018, through its 11 authorized branches (list enclosed) in the fourth phase of the sale.
Validity of Electoral Bonds – Electoral Bond Scheme 2018 Last Date
It is notable that the election bond will be valid for 15 days from the date of issuance. No payment will be made to the political party on the basis of the election bonds deposited after the validity period. The amount of electoral bonds deposited by the political party will be deposited in their bank account on the same day.
