Delhi Government Schools Spoken English Course – Moving forward to education reforms, the Delhi Government has prepared a new scheme to enhance the English Communication Skills of the students studying in government schools. The name of this scheme is Delhi Government Schools Spoken English Course.
Delhi Government Schools Spoken English Course
The Spoken English Course Classes is being started for the first phase for the students who have already given board exams of Tenth. These classes will start from 1st June and training centers will be set up in 393 schools for them. According to sources, the government is interacting with many agencies, including McMillan Publishers, British Council of India, Academy for Computers Training (Gujarat).
Duration of Delhi Government Schools Spoken English Course
The total duration of the course will be 160 hours and these classes will be 23 to 80 days. The first phase will be in summer holidays, which will have 5 to 7 hours of regular classes. Second Phase will have 2 to 3 hours of classes.
Currently, for the first phase, following students are eligible –
- The student must be studying in Delhi Government Schools.
- Those students who have given 10th exam
- Those who have passed at least two more subjects, including English in the pre-board exam, will get an opportunity to attend these classes.
In the first phase, there will be a selection of 24000 students and the selection will be done on the basis of first come first serve basis. If the students in the pre-board have passed all the subjects including English, then such students will get priority.
Other Important Details of Delhi Government Schools Spoken English Course
It will be the responsibility of the principals to give information about this scheme through phone, SMS to students who have passed the Tenth Examination. The help of the School Management Committee can also be taken so that they convey this information to the students. It will be necessary for parents to take NOC. After that, the principals will send the list of those students to the department. Some fees will also be set for this program.
Course materials and assignments will also be given to the students who are registered and the certificates will be given after completing the course. According to sources, it is observed that after passing the 12th pass, students studying in government schools have trouble at the graduation level. Students coming to the 11th are paying special attention to communication skills so that they do not stay behind in this period of competition.
