Delhi Free Dialysis Scheme – The Delhi Government has come up with a free dialysis scheme for the Sugar Patients of the state. Under this scheme, the government will provide free dialysis to the sugar patients in private hospitals.
Delhi Free Dialysis Scheme
In the Delhi Government hospitals of Delhi, the facility of free dialysis in private hospitals will be provided due to the lack of dialysis facility and long waiting list. Under this, Public Private Partnership (PPP) will allow Delhi Government to settle with private hospitals so that the financially vulnerable patients having an annual income of up to three lakhs can get free dialysis facility.
The Delhi Government will pay 1274 rupees per patient to private hospitals. With these conditions the Health Department has sought applications from private hospitals. Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that under the PPP model, there is a plan to put 75 dialysis machines in different hospitals. In which 15 machines have been installed, while the other 60 machines are expected to be in the next three months.
Eligibility Criteria for Aviling Free Dialyisis Facilty Under Delhi Free Dialysis Scheme
In order to avail the benefits if free dialysis in private hospital, you have to full fill the below mentioned criteria –
- Applicant must residing in Delhi for atleast 2 Years.
- Family’s annual income must not exceed Rs. 3 Lakh.
- Applicant must be economically weaker.
Hospital Registration Under Delhi Free Dialysis Scheme
- Hospital recognised from Health Services Directorate and CGHS (Central Government Health Service Scheme) can apply for this scheme.
- It is mandatory for a hospital applying for this scheme to have atleast 10 Dialysis Machines.
It is expected that five to ten hospitals will be added to this scheme. This will facilitate better dialysis facility. There are already 60 dialysis machines on the PPP model of Delhi Government’s three hospitals already have 60 dialysis machines. Of these, 10 are in Loknayak Hospital, 30 in Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital in Tahirpur and 20 in Hedgewar Hospital. They are also free to the poor and dialysis facility at cheap rates for others.
