Centre Govt. Approves Rs.3,224 crore for Basic Infra in Rajasthan under AMRUT
The Central Government of India has approved to release Rs.3,224 crore for Rajasthan under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme for the development of water supply, sewerage facilities, parks and green belts in 29 cities of the state.
Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu write a letter to Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. He said in the letter that it is expected that the state government will implement the scheme in a speedy way. Naidu said that the Union government has already disbursed 20% of the funds for the first two phases of the scheme that were approved from November 2015 to June 2016. Funds will be made available by March 2017 for the schemes approved from November 2016.
Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bhiwadi, Beawar, Hanumangarh, Gangapur city, Hindaun city, Sujangarh, Kota, Bikaner, Ajmer, Udaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Sikar, Dholpur, Swai Madhopur, Churu, Baran, Chhittorgarh, Nagaur, Bundi, Bhilwara, Sriganganagar, Pali, Tonk, Jhunjhunu, Kishangarh and Jhalawar are the twenty-nine cities which will be benefited under AMRUT scheme.
