Atal Pension Yojana – The Central Government of India is running a pension scheme named ‘Atal Pension Yojana’ (APY) for the senior citizens of the nation. It is a deferred pension plan for meeting retirement needs. The Atal Pension Yojana has brought security for the elderly Indians, while simultaneously encouraging the culture of savings and investment in lower and lower-middle-class sections of society.The biggest benefit of this scheme is that it can also benefit from a poor section of the poor.
The beneficiaries of Atal Pension Yojana who are availing the benefits of kerosene subsidy will now need to provide the proof of possession of Aadhaar number and undergo the enrollment process through it to get the benefits.
Online Statement (E-ST) and e-PRAN card have been launched for the Atal Pension Scheme, which will benefit more than 45 lakh members. Members of the Atal Pension Scheme can also track their account transactions online through this scheme. The Finance Ministry has launched this facility to increase the skills of digital marketing and to give better quality to the scheme.
Government Schemes Launched by NDA Government
NDA Government led by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi made its government in the year 2014. So far, the central government had launched many ambitious schemes to provide the benefits to the people of the nation. It includes schemes for Childs, Girl Childs, Youths, Pregnant Mothers, Homeless People, Government Employees, Unemployed People, Poor People, Senior Citizens etc.
In order to support Atal Pension Yojana, the Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to give Rs 1,000 for each beneficiary to the Atal Pension Yojana Account.
