4 Important Things Regarding Aadhar Card in ABY
- According to Indu Bhushan, CEO of National Health Agency, this decision has been taken after the order of the Supreme Court in which the Aadhaar scheme is considered constitutional. They said, we are studying the Supreme Court decision.
- Bhushan said that the beneficiary can give the Aadhar Card or any identity card such as Voter ID Card for the first time to avail the scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJY) i.e. Ayushman India in Jharkhand on September 23.
- Modi government claims that it is the world’s largest health insurance scheme. Under this, every member of the poor family will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually in government or private hospital. The government had announced this scheme in February.
- Government claims that the PMJAY will provide benefits to a total number of 50 Crore members of 10.74 crore households. The Modi government has allocated Rs 10,000 crore for this scheme.
