Atal Aahar Yojana Maharashtra Maharashtra Atal Aahar Yojana Maharashtra Atal Aahar Scheme – Maharashtra Government has launched a new special scheme for construction workers in the state. The new scheme is launched under the name of “Atal Aahar Yojana” in which the government will provide good quality and hygienic food to the construction workers at a highly subsidised rate. Under this scheme, the nutritious food will be provided at the workplace of workers at just Rs. 5/-.
Atal Aahar Yojana Main Objective
The main objective of this scheme is to provide good quality and hygienic food to the construction workers at a subsidised rate. According to the government, this scheme will be implemented in some areas of the state on a pilot basis and after seeing results it will be expanded. Under this scheme, the government will provide good quality food to the construction workers at a nominal cost of Rs. 5/-. However, the government has targeted to cover 20,000 workers under this scheme.
Atal Aahar Yojana Maharashtra Benefits

The government is expecting that this scheme will help to maintain the health of construction workers by providing them with nutritious food. It will transform the lives of construction workers. Besides, the government is also working to provide more benefits to the construction workers like education, income and health.
However, the state government is already providing a subsidy of Rs 4.5 lakh to labourers for house construction. A monthly pension of Rs. 3000/- under Shramev Jayate Yojana to the construction workers above the age of 60 years. In the case of a worker’s death, the pension will be given to his widow. The construction workers will also get benefit under Jan Arogya Yojana for free medical treatment up to Rs 1.5 lakh.
