Arunachal Pradesh DDUSY Self Employment Scheme


Yesterday, the Arunachal Pradesh State Government has launched an ambitious scheme named ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyay Sawalamban Yojana (DDUSY)’. The Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Pema Khaundu has launched this scheme for creating self-employment opportunities in the State.

Under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Sawalamban Yojana (DDUSY), the Arunachal Pradesh Government and the banks will provide a loan amount ranging from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 1 crore and government as a capital subsidy of 30 per cent. This subsidy will be disbursed to banks through NABARD.

Arunachal Pradesh’s this move will provide the much required financial boost to the state’s small and nano entrepreneurs in sectors like agriculture, horticulture, dairy development, fishery, textile and handicrafts and eco-tourism.

According to the CM Khandu, the “scheme will provide the impetus in direction of exploring self-employment avenues to help the educated unemployed youths to become self-empowered as the government job sector is already saturated.

Aims of the Scheme

The main motto of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Sawalamban Yojana (DDUSY) is to create self-employment opportunities in the State for the unemployed youth of the state.

According to the notification, the women entrepreneurs will be additionally eligible for 5% interest subsidy annually provided the entrepreneurs do not become Non-Performing Asset (NPA).

CM Pema Khandu informed that the scheme would be implemented in all the districts of the state through respective deputy commissioners. Besides this, the government would increase the subsidy amount in the due course of time and incorporate other sectors in it.

AP CM Khandu has also inaugurated the Facebook’s nationwide ‘Boost Your Business’ program to supplement the DDUSY scheme.
