Arogya Karnataka Scheme (आरोग्य कर्नाटक योजना)- The State Government of Karnataka led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has launched a Universal Health Coverage scheme named ‘Arogya Karnataka Scheme’. Under this scheme, all the ongoing schemes such as Vajpayee Arogyashree, Yeshaswini, Rajiv Arogya Bhagya and others would be brought.

The state government has selected a total number of Ten government hospitals in the state for the implementation of the scheme in the first phase. Here is the list of the Hospitals –

- KC General Hospital
- Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research and Victoria Hospital, all in Bengaluru
- Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences, Mandya
- McGann Institute of Medical Sciences, Shivamogga
- Wenlock district hospital, Mangaluru
- Karnataka Institute of Medical Services, Hubballi
- Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences
- Kalaburagi and Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences, Ballari.
Besides this, the state government will cover all the government hospitals including community health centers under the scheme by December 31.
Also, under this scheme, all the beneficiaries will get a health card once they approach government hospitals for treatment. The health card will be is issued on the basis of the Aadhaar or ration card.
CM Siddaramaiah inaugurated this scheme this scheme.
CM further said that all the patients have to first reach a government hospital seeking treatment. After that, they will be referred to private hospitals impaneled under the scheme, only if treatment facility is not available in government hospitals.
According to the Health Minister K R Ramesh Kumar, dialysis, CT scan and MRI facilities would be made available in all taluk hospitals and hence patients need not approach private hospitals to avail of these services.
