Required Documents
  • A passport size photo

  • Address proof – this can be a ration card, your passport, driving license or utility bill (phone or electricity).

The online registration process of the new Voter ID card is very simple. You only have to go to India’s ECI homepage, this is the official website for voter registration. The website gives voter lists for election process in India and for electoral programs for the forthcoming elections across the country. There is a list of guidelines and various applications for voters in it, for the citizens residing in India, there are different forms for change in name of voters, foreigners living and members of armed forces, government service etc. You must select Form 6 for voter id card apply for online voter registration

On the homepage of the ECI website select the National Voter’s Service Portal and click on the “National Services” option, online application for new voter registrations.

This will take you to the National Voter’s Service Portal on the official website of the online application form for the new registration of the voter

To apply for the new Voter ID online , follow the following instructions: –

Step 1 – Visit the Election Commission of India’s official website.
Step 2 – Click on National Voter’s Service Portal.
Step 3 – Click on “Apply Online for Registration of New Voters”.
Step 4 – Enter details and upload required documents.
Step 5 – Click “Submit”
