Andhra Pradesh Anna Canteen Scheme – The Andhra Pradesh Government has launched the Andhra Pradesh Anna Canteen Yojana. Under this scheme, the state government will provide food to poor people of the state at cheaper rates. The state government will provide meal to the poor people at Rs. 5.

The Andhra Pradesh Government has launched this scheme on the line of Amma Canteens in neighboring state Tamil Nadu. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu inaugurated the Anna Canteens Scheme under which breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served to the common man at just Rs 5.

The meal provided under this scheme will consist of Breakfast plate consisting 3 idlis/ 3 pooris/ upma/ pongal; Lunch and Dinner plate with rice, dal/sambar, pickle, curry and curd.

For providing food to people, the state government is setting up 203 Anna Canteens in 110 municipalities throughout the state.

  • In the first phase of this scheme, the state government have inaugurated 60 Anna Canteens in 25 municipalities.
  • In the second phase, the state government will inaugurate 143 canteens at 85 locations by August.

Under the Anna Canteen Yojana, all the poor people will get all three meals of a day for as less as Rs 15.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is given the responsibility of managing these canteens by the state government. Under this scheme, the state government will serve meal to more than 2 lakh people.

Andhra Pradesh Anna Canteen Scheme – IVRS system For Feedback, Complaint & Suggestion

Apart from this, the state government has also place an IVRS system in order to gather feedback, complaint or suggestion by the people of the state.
