Aadhar Face Authentication Feature – Presently, Aadhaar card holder has to face many problems while doing KYC. People are complaining that they do not get OTP from time on mobile while doing KYC. There are also many problems faced at the same time when a fingerprint match is not there. To tackle such complaints, UIDAI has taken out a new strategy. According to the reports, the Aadhaar card issuing agency UIDAI is going to recognize ‘Aadhar Face Authentication Feature’ in addition to fingerprints and eye-fold besides. It is being said by UIDAI that this facility will be implemented from July 1 throughout the country.
Need of Aadhar Face Authentication Feature
UIDAI had announced the introduction of the Face Authentication feature in January. Connecting this feature will benefit those who have problems in fingerprint or iris. The UID said that people have problems in biometric authentication due to damage of fingerprints due to hard work and increasing age. In such a situation, the Face Authentication feature will prove to be very helpful
Aadhar Face Authentication Feature will be Included in Adhaar Rules from 1 July
Earlier, UIDAI had announced in January that it would also include the Face Authentication feature. This feature will benefit people who had problems scanning their fingerprint or eye. In the statement of the UIDAI, it said that face detection feature will be accompanied by any one of a fingerprint, Irish or OTP.
Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO of UIDAI, in a presentation given to the Supreme Court last week, had said that the world’s fastest computer will also be taking countless years to leak Aadhar. While giving information related to security to the Supreme Court, he had said that face authentication will be started from July 1. UIDAI CEO told the Supreme Court that so far, 1,696.38 crore Aadhar authentication and 464.85 crore e-KYC transactions have so far been done.
Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO of UIDAI, started his presentation on Thursday before the constitutional bench of five judges of the Supreme Court, which will be forwarded on 27th March. The bench of Supreme Court has been constituted for hearing several petitions filed on the constitutional validity of Aadhar.
