Aadhaar card will be mandatory for filing income tax returns in the country from July 1, under the Finance Act-2007. It was announced on Wednesday by issuing an official statement. Apart from this, the formation of pan card will also be mandatory from July 1.
According to the Finance Bill, 2007, the income tax return for filing income tax returns and PAN card under section 139A of Income Tax Act -1961 will be mandatory, which will be effective from July 1.” It has been said in the statement that the Aadhaar number or Aadhaar registration number will be mandatory for those individuals who will be eligible for the basis.
However, Section 139A of the Income Tax Act also states that those persons will not be given the basis for filing income tax return or PAN card, which has not been considered as a local resident in the Aadhar Act-2016.
After this, preparations are now being made to make the base mandatory for the mobile number. Now it will be necessary to link all mobile numbers with Aadhaar card. The Department of Telecom has sent a notice to the telecom companies in which it has been asked to ensure that the subscriber numbers of the subscribers are linked to their base. This process has been asked to be completed in a year.
Although the Supreme Court has clarified the Aadhaar card, the government has not made the mandatory for the benefit of its welfare schemes. However, the court said that the government can not be stopped from using the Aadhaar in other schemes such as opening bank accounts.
