2. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana – सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना (SSY)

Interest rates of NSC or National Savings Certificate have also been increased. Earlier, there was 7.6 percent interest which has now been increased to 8 percent. In other words, if you invest Rs 100 in this, then it will be Rs 146.93 after five years. You can invest as much as you want in it, though the minimum investment amount is Rs 100. However, the amount of interest earned on maturity gets added to the earnings of the investment.
5. Senior Citizen Savings Scheme – सीनियर सिटिजन सेविंग्स स्कीम (SCSS)
Under the Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS), there is an interest of 8.7 percent per annum currently. Its maturity period is five years. However, no one can invest more than Rs 15 lakhs in it. However, interest from this is taxable. Anyone who is 60 years of age or above can open this account.
