44 Cr Poor People will Get House, LPG, Water and Electricity Connections in Next Year

The government is growing up with the goal of providing housing as well as land. The central government said about this target that around 44 crore poor people will be provided housing units, LPG connections, Water connections and Electricity connections by the next financial year.

Rural Development Secretary Amarjit Singh said that the central government will directly credit Rs. 1.30 lakhs to the account of the beneficiaries living in plain areas and Rs. 1.50 lakhs to the accounts of the beneficiaries living in hilly areas.

In addition, all beneficiaries will be provided an additional amount of Rs 12,000 for the construction of toilets. They will also be given wage of 90 days for the construction of their houses under MANREGA. This amount is estimated at Rs 18,000. Sinha said that initially, the goal was for providing benefits to 33 crore people by the next financial year, it has now been increased to 44 crores.
Prime Minister’s direction is clear in this case that people should get a better life. People should get a better house to live. He said that our overarching goal is to provide housing to the homeless people. To provide concrete housing to the people living in mud houses. The center has said to the homeless people to transfer of land.  According to an estimate, 60 percent of these houses are being built for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
