The central government has decided to construct about 759 affordable housing for the poor homeless people of the Yamunanagar district under government’s ambitious scheme PM Awas Yojana (PMAY). The government has announced to construct these affordable housing for the homeless people or the families living in mud houses.
On Monday, the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal has launched the ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in the state to provide affordable housing to the poor homeless people of the state.

Samastipur and Dalsinghsaray have also been included in this list. The process of providing housing for all has been started.
